Project Overview

OceanSeaProducts:
Specialists in innovative aquarium technology

Ocean Sea Products is a UK-based supplier of dry goods, serving both hobbyists and trade partners. Their new website needed to reflect the scale of their operation, providing a fast, reliable retail experience for everyday customers while also incorporating dynamic pricing and account features for authorised resellers.

The goal was to build a platform that could handle both B2C and B2B effectively, while also presenting a polished digital identity that reinforced Ocean Sea Products’ position as a leading name in the aquatics market.

Clients Goal and Challenge

Client’s Goal

Ocean Sea Products wanted a website that catered to two different customer types:

  • Everyday reef hobbyists looking for high-quality dry goods.
  • Authorised resellers, who required special pricing, trade access, and an easy way to place bulk orders.
  • The platform needed to provide a smooth, secure shopping journey, while also being flexible enough to handle trade account functionality and dynamic pricing based on account type.

Challenge

The biggest challenge was combining B2C retail usability with B2B functionality in a way that felt seamless. This meant:

  • Building a dual-pricing structure that adjusted automatically for authorised resellers.
  • Maintaining a professional, trusted look for both trade and retail customers.
  • Optimising the site for SEO and speed to ensure strong organic visibility and performance.
  • Ensuring the system could handle frequent updates to dry goods with minimal complexity.

Our Process

Photography and Creative Process

1

Concept and Planning

We began by mapping out the customer journey for both hobbyists and trade clients. This stage defined how retail customers would browse and buy, versus how resellers would log in, access trade prices, and place orders.

2

Preparation and Setup

The site was built on a flexible e-commerce framework, designed to accommodate dynamic pricing and account-based access. A clean, modern design was chosen to highlight product imagery and make navigation effortless.

3

Execution and Build

We integrated dual pricing for authorised resellers, ensuring they could see and order products at their trade rates once logged in. At the same time, the retail side was streamlined for fast, secure checkout. SEO best practices were built in at every stage, from metadata to structured category pages, giving the site strong visibility from launch.

4

Optimisation and Growth

Post-launch, we focused on performance optimisation and fine-tuning the user experience for both customer types. By combining fast load speeds with clear content structures, the site is already positioned for growth in both organic traffic and customer engagement.
